need help with synaptic. Every time I try to download a program or run the download manager it comes back saying Unable to get exclusive lock. States another packaging management application may be running. I have tried every thing but keep getting locked out Thanks Don

You should delete lock file: sudo rm /var/lib/dpkg/lock
