Γενικές σημειώσεις


  1. Αυτός είναι ο ανεπίσημος οδηγός για το Ubuntu 6.06 (Dapper Drake). Δεν συσχετίζεται με τις Ubuntu και Canonical Ltd.

  3. Ο οδηγός έχει δοκιμαστεί σε ολοκληρωμένες εγκαταστάσεις του Ubuntu 6.06 x86 Install CD (Dapper Drake)
  4. Αν δείτε ένα κυανό κουτί, σημαίνει πως πρέπει να εκτελέσετε τις εντολές σε τερματικό (Εφαρμογές->Βοηθήματα->Τερματικό) ή να χρησιμοποιήσετε το περιεχόμενο του κουτιού όπως αναφέρεται σε άλλες εφαρμογές.
  5. Για να αποφύγετε τυχόν λάθη, αντιγράψτε και επικολλήστε τις εντολές κατευθείαν στο τερματικό (δεξί κλικ στις εντολές -> "Αντιγραφή" και "Επικόλληση". Μπορείτε επίσης να χρησιμοποιήσετε το Ctrl+C για να αντιγράψετε και το Shift+Insert για επικόλληση)
  6. Το "sudo" σημαίνει superuser do(κάνει ο υπερχρήστης). Το "sudo" θα ζητήσει "Κωδικό:". Εισάγετε τον κωδικό του παρόν χρήστη.
  7. Αν θέλετε περισσότερες πληροφορίες για κάποια εντολή, ρίξτε μια ματιά στο εγχειρίδιό της χρησιμοποιώντας την εντολή "man". Π.χ., η εντολή "man sudo" θα εμφανίσει τη σελίδα εγχειριδίου της εντολής "sudo".
  8. Αν βαριέστε να γράφετε "apt-get" όλη την ώρα, διαβάστε #Πως να κάνετε apt-get με ευκολία (Synaptic)
  9. Τα "apt-get" και "wget" προϋποθέτουν σύνδεση στο διαδίκτυο για την εγκατάσταση/ενημέρωση/μεταφόρτωση εφαρμογών.
  10. Για μεταφόρτωη αρχείου, κάντε δεξί κλικ πάνω στο δεσμό -> Επιλογή "Αποθήκευση Δεσμού ώς..." -> Βεβαιωθείτε πως το όνομα και η επέκταση του αρχείου είναι σωστά.
  11. Αν επιθυμείτε να βοηθήσετε στην μετάφραση του Ubuntu στη γλώσσα σας ή αλλιώς να βοηθήστε το Ubuntu επισκευθείτε το https://launchpad.net/
  12. Ας είναι το πνεύμα του "ανθρωπισμού προς τους άλλους" μαζί σας για πάντα...


Αν χρησιμοποιείτε το Kubuntu δεν χρειάζεται η εκατάσταση του Gedit πια, γιατί τώρα υπάρχει συμβολική σύνδεση απο το "gedit" στο "kate", και έτσι μπορείτε να εκτελέσετε τις παρακάτω εντολές δίχως πρόβλημα. Αν τελικά θέλετε να εγκαταστήσετε το gedit, κάντε: 
sudo apt-get install gedit
Αν η εντολή "gedit" (συμβολική σύνδεση) δεν λειτουργεί, μπορείτε να τη δημιουργήσετε: 
sudo ln -s /usr/bin/kate /usr/bin/gedit
Αν χρησιμοπποιείτε την 64-bit έκδοση αλλάξτε όλα τα "i386" σε "amd64"

How to install DVD playback capability

ironss: gstreamer dvd plugin is available as part of plugins-bad (or ugly?) and does not work reliably. However, Totem works with the xine backend to play back DVDs. This will keep you going until gstreamer gets dvd playback. Note that you do not have to install xine-ui or mplayer as suggested in

How to install Multimedia Player (RealPlayer 10)

Note: 'realplay' installs RealPlayer 10 from PLF repository, which you should be enabled if you followed this guide. 'realplayer' installs RealPlayer 8 from multiverse.
  • Applications -> Sound & Video -> RealPlayer 10
  • It will also install all the necessary plugins automagically for it to view embedded real videos in Firefox
  • To avoid issues of flickering or screen going blank when switching windows, goto
  • RealPlayer 10 -> Tools -> Preferences -> Hardware -> Uncheck XVideo
