Introduction

• On October 10, 2010, Kubuntu 10.10 was released.
• It is codenamed Maverick Meerkat and is the successor to Lucid Lynx (10.04 LTS) (Lucid+1).
• Maverick Meerkat is not an LTS (Long Term Support) release and is no longer supported with security updates (as of April 2012). It is recommended to upgrade to the current version of Kubuntu.
